Discover our curated Veil Edit — timeless designs that complement every bridal style, from classic cathedral veils to romantic mantillas and contemporary statement pieces. Or, if your heart is set on something one of a kind, let us create a fully bespoke veil designed to become a cherished heirloom.
Defining Your Silhouette: Styles and Lengths
The right veil length is about more than measurement. It is how the fabric flows over your gown’s train, where the veil sits, and how comb placement balances the whole look.
Cathedral length suits a grand church ceremony — a cathedral veil in Sydney glides over stone steps and long aisles, while chapel lengths offer the same elegance with a softer finish.
Chapel, fingertip and Circle “O” cuts pair beautifully with intimate garden ceremonies. A Circle “O” brushes the shoulders, frames the face and opens the decolletage. We finish these with satin edging, statement lace, raw edges, 3D floral detail, pearl or structured crin, worn over the crown or set into a bun (mantilla blusher option available).
For something fashion-forward, 3D floral cape-style drops, scarves and wing styles offer a different approach entirely.
The Mantilla Veil Collection
Inspired by European coastlines, Greek islands and Mediterranean Sicily, our mantilla veil Sydney collection balances softness, structure and movement using our signature engineered tulle. Delicate lace framing drapes gracefully around the bride for a romantic, heritage-inspired silhouette.
Choose your lace finish: Chantilly for delicate, timeless detail; Alencon for defined French motifs; Guipure for bold texture and dimension; or 3D floral for contemporary, sculptural femininity.
For understated elegance, a satin-edged mantilla stays minimal while still creating drama through form. A structured crin edge adds a subtle architectural finish, and a raw-cut edge lets the tulle and gown take centre stage. Every mantilla is designed to complement the gown’s original lines.
Mantilla Veil Lengths & Comb Placement
The beauty of a mantilla lies in the way it frames the bride, with its placement and length carefully considered to complement both the gown and the proportions of the wearer. From delicate shoulder-length styles through to sweeping cathedral lengths, the veil can be positioned at the front hairline, crown or further back on the head, creating a completely different silhouette. A front-positioned comb allows the mantilla to beautifully frame the face and shoulders, creating that distinctive Spanish-inspired look, while a crown or further-back placement creates a softer, more relaxed drape and allows additional length to cascade behind the gown. Longer mantillas create greater drama and movement, while shorter lengths offer a refined, effortless finish. The ideal combination of length and comb placement should ultimately work with the gown's train, neckline, hairstyle and desired ceremony silhouette, ensuring the veil feels intentionally designed as part of the complete bridal look.
Our mantilla veils are available in a considered selection of bridal fabrics, from soft and ethereal bridal tulle and lightweight engineered tulle through to delicate lace and textured floral fabrics. Each fabric is selected for its drape, transparency, movement and relationship to the gown.
Lace trims can range from delicate eyelash edging and refined Chantilly lace through to intricate Alençon, guipure and three-dimensional floral lace. For a more contemporary finish, mantillas can also feature satin binding, crinoline edging, pearl detailing or hand-applied floral embellishment, allowing the veil to become either a subtle finishing detail or a statement piece in its own right.
The choice of fabric and trim is carefully considered to complement the gown's texture, silhouette and overall design language, creating a cohesive bridal look rather than an accessory that feels separate from the dress.
Foundation Fabrics and Precise Finishes
A veil’s beauty comes from the balance of fabric, texture, movement and light. At our Seaforth atelier we source premium fabrics, lace and couture embellishments, choosing each for how it drapes, reflects light and works with your gown’s original design.
Engineered tulle, our signature base, balances softness, structure and transparency, giving graceful movement without hiding the gown. Iridescent tulle catches light from every angle for a soft, ethereal glow.
Lace defines the personality of a mantilla or lace-edged veil: Chantilly, Alencon, Guipure and 3D floral, each with its own character.
Edge treatments bring the veil to life. A crinoline horsehair edge creates sculptural movement, satin binding gives a clean and luxurious finish, and a raw-cut edge lets the tulle disappear softly into the gown. For a statement piece we work with 3D floral applique, texture overlay fabrics, 3D surface detailing, and pearl or beaded lace applique.
The Heritage Signature Veil adds delicate custom embroidery, a meaningful date, your initials or a short phrase, turning your veil into a keepsake to pass down.
Custom Veils vs the Curated Veil Edit
Some brides arrive with a vision already imagined: a particular lace, a treasured family heirloom, or an idea that exists only in their head. For them we create fully custom wedding veils in Sydney, matching delicate lace details from the gown or restoring vintage family lace onto fresh, ethereal tulle.
Others find inspiration through discovery. Our curated veil collection lets you see how different silhouettes, fabrics, lengths and finishes frame your face and move with your gown.
Before your appointment, explore the Veil Edit online and start imagining the piece that will accompany you down the aisle.
The Art of Fabric Sourcing
The right fabric is what makes a veil feel like part of the gown rather than an addition. Through our network of Australian and international suppliers, we source fabrics that match your gown’s colour, texture and personality.
Lead Tailor Anthony Esposito draws on years at European fashion houses to read lace structures, identify warm and cool ivory undertones and source complementary trims, whether your gown features French Chantilly lace, structured mikado, satin or minimalist crepe. Anthony sources every fabric and trim himself and spends hours each week researching new textiles and refining designs.
Integrating Your Alterations and Accessories
Designing your veil alongside your bridal alterations in Sydney means every decision is made with your gown fitted to your body, so proportion, movement and balance are judged in real time, one to one with Anthony.
